BELLE VAN ZUYLEN

Costume film about the friendship of 18th-century writer Belle van Zuylen and young Benjamin Constant.

After Belle van Zuylen (1740-1805) has just written her first novel, she meets the much younger Benjamin Constant in Paris. That is the start of a long-standing passionate friendship. Eventually Benjamin’s faithlessness and opportunism get too much for Belle.
