AN ANGEL IN DOEL wins prize at doclisboa

The film has previously been nominated for two Golden Calfs, namely for Best Documentary and Best Editing, at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht. In this new, thematically more comprehensive film, Tom follows the manner in which the residents of the Flemish village Doel experience the uncertain developments when the Antwerp docks advance. The elderly widow Emiliennne Driesen and the sick village priest Verstraete try to keep up a pretence of normality. Until they are also forced to let go. TIENGEMETEN, THE WEBSITE

The first design of the website came about during the workshop organised in 1999/2000 by the Dutch Cultural Broadcasting Fund in cooperation with the Sandberg Institute. The Fund has made it possible for this design to be completed. Fred Inklaar is responsible for the design, Gridline for the programming and Digna Sinke for the content.

The site aims to show how the island of Tiengemeten once came about and about the plans for the future.
The newsletter of the Project Organisation can be found there along with information about the documentary's
Tiengemeten part 1 and Tiengemeten part 2, entitled Tiengemeten 2001-2006, both produced by SNG FILM.
