depicts the poem Veere by Hans Groenewegen by
investigating how long a picture, that is little more than
variations on dark, still has something to say.
Will the spectator long for the break of day?
VEERE is a film in the framework of POEMS FROM THE SEA.
At the
International Film Festival Rotterdam 2005 VEERE won the Tiger
Cub Award. The jury consisted of Kathleen Forde (USA), Mariska
Graveland (The Netherlands) and Kerry Laitala (USA).
Jury statement: Veere by David Lammers was chosen because its
intensifies your view of moving objects that you normally
overlook, completed with a very delicate use of sound and music.
